Contributors
Every book on our list is made by a small circle of people: the writer, and the translators, illustrators, designers and editors who see it into print. We are always glad to hear from good people who would like to join that circle.
We publish a few books at a time, so we cannot say yes to everyone, but we read everything that is sent to us.
For authors
Three ways to publish with us, depending on your book and how you would like it made.
Publish independently
Your book, under your own name and on your own terms. We edit, design and see it into print and on sale, as a paid service at a fixed price agreed in advance. How commissions work.
With the Editions Team
Practical and non-fiction books, written or shaped with our team and published under 21R6 Editions, in the manner of our Ready When It Matters guides.
With The Heritage Guild
Forgotten texts brought back into print, family and institutional archives, and illustrated books on a single theme, made by the Guild to last.
What to send
By email, as a PDF or Word document. There is no need for anything printed.

One page on what the book is, who it is for and where it is now.
A sample
The first three chapters, or around thirty pages.
About you
A few lines on yourself and why you are the one to write it.

We work with freelancers on each book. If your work would suit our list, we would like to know you.
